I love this time of year! A great time for new beginnings, and 2016 is going to be just that. 2015 was a fantastic year: After leaving the NHS in 2014 I took the brave decision to set up my own business; I attended the Janet Balaskas Active Birth Workshop training in London PLUS I have met so many wonderful colleagues, fantastic new parents and beautiful babies along the way.
At Big Steps Little Feet we are starting to make some really exciting plans for 2016. We are setting up some new workshop sessions on sleeping, weaning and a baby clinic in partnership with Doodles Den, Windsor – watch this space. We are excited to launch our “Expectant Dads” baby workshop on 6 February, just as each birth is unique so too is every workshop I deliver, either at home, with a couple or as a group, the dynamics are always different and it is such a pleasure to watch relationships blossom in this exciting time.
I am mindful that a new year signifies new beginnings just as pregnancy and birth does. I often get asked why should we attend an Active Birth workshop? Well, there are so many reasons as to why. Knowledge is power and gives you confident choices, ultimately reducing fear which is the number one block to a less painful and smoother birth. Not only do you learn about the birth itself but you connect as a couple and give time and space to reflect on your transition into parenthood and starting with what’s important to YOU as opposed to running with what you feel you SHOULD be doing! Watch this space for more top tips to help you with your baby. CLICK HERE to find out more about what some of my past workshop attendees have to say, Mark and Liza had reported that ” . . .their individual workshops at 23-30 weeks has helped reduce their fear of what lies ahead and made them more empowered to ask questions and picture what their birth will feel like. . ”
If you or anyone you know is taking the exciting step into parenthood I would love to hear from them! Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange your FREE 30-minute consultation.
Here is to a really exciting 2016!
